Job Summary:
The Laboratory Testing Technician is responsible for performing various laboratory tests in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Test Performance: Perform various laboratory tests, including high and moderate complexity tests, as authorized by the laboratory director or designee.
- Quality Control: Maintain accurate records of test results, ensure proper sample management, and adhere to quality control policies to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of test data.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential problems affecting test performance or result reporting and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues to achieve operational excellence goals and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Certifications: Possess MT or MLT certification from ASCP or other accredited certifying organizations.
- Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in biomedical disciplines, such as chemical, physical, biological, clinical lab science, or medical technology.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical/problem-solving abilities, proficiency in using personal computers and applicable software.
