Job Description:
The Medical Technologist plays a critical role in the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs clinical testing within individual skill level, including blood bank, chemistry, coagulation, hematology, immunology, microbiology, and urinalysis.
- Works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and problem-solves as needed.
- Ensures accurate and timely testing, reporting results, and maintaining quality control.
- Performs maintenance on instruments and equipment, troubleshoots issues, and complies with safety procedures.
- Demonstrates respect for patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees in a professional environment.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree or higher.
- Current MT OR MLT Certification.
- Minimum 1 Year Experience required.
- EMR/EHR Experience, Chemistry Techniques, Lab Environment, Clinical Lab Testing, Cryogenic Procedures, Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Sterilization, Equipment Calibration, Biohazard Safety, Medical Teamwork, Supply Management.
