Electrician II
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician Technician II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have attended schooling for a specific trade or possess 4-6 years of experience in a relevant field. The Electrician Technician II will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various systems and equipment in accordance with BioMerieux policies and procedures.
Primary Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and BioMerieux policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex issues and improve operational efficiency.
- Attend and complete required schooling and certification programs for specific trades.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to maintenance
- Prioritize projects and daily requests, assigning them to internal teams or external resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Training, Education, Experience
Electrical:
- Journeyman Commercial Electrician License.
- Theory and Practical exams.
- 4-6 years’ Commercial experience

- Journey out by attending schooling for a specific trade or 4-6 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions
- Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
