Position Summary & Responsibilities:
This internship is anticipated to run from May - August 2025, working an average of 40 hours/week based in Salt Lake City. Relocation assistance is not available.
You will support a technical development team with an understanding of the project timelines and project plans. As a Project Manager, you are expected to work efficiently with the management and development to produce high quality software and system documentation. You will work on several efforts simultaneously. Your ability to work as part of a team, manage time effectively, think analytically, and communicate effectively will help you be successful in this role.
- Perform all work in compliance with company policy.
- Understand BioMerieux’s mission, values, and core technologies.
- Learn the enterprise systems used by BioMerieux.
- Learn the software development life cycle at BioMerieux.
- Facilitate communication for the team with business teams.
- Set and communicate priorities and project milestones for the team.
- Identify obstacles to the team or project and escalate as appropriate.
- Write software project documentation. Match documentation to the intended audience.
- Work with Software Development Management to ensure that the software meets specifications and is delivered on time.
- Understand and accomplish department goals.
Education, Skills, & Experience:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergrad or grad program in Information Technology or Information Systems.
- MBA candidates are also accepted
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, project management tools such as Jira, Atlassian products, and/or Azure are preferred
- Technical documentation experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Knowledge: Agile Methodologies, Project Management Software
- Skills:
- Leadership – Manage relationship between business and technical teams
- Prioritization – Manage requests from multiple stakeholder groups to determine what work needs to be done
- Communication – Clearly convey timelines, goals and requirements
- Empathy – Understand user needs and priorities
