QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS |
- Graduate with a BS or Doctorate of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required
- Current, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the state noted in posting required
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED |
- Minimum of 1-2 years in a retail / hospital pharmacy preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Directly monitors the pharmacy technicians to assure the quality of patient services and a safe and effective pharmacy operation.
- Provides safe, appropriate, cost effective, evidence-based medication therapies to patients according to established BioMatrix policies and procedures, and FDA mandates and manufacturer self-imposed restrictions.
- Completes the prescription order review and verification process, including the match of the dispensing drug to the order and choice of appropriate patient educational medication materials.
- Conducts initial and disease-specific phone assessments with new patients and refill assessments with existing patients.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy Board rules and regulations (and other states), and the URAC, The Joint Commission, and ACHC Pharmacy Standards.

- Participation in membership in professional societies and organizations.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Must have scheduling flexibility and be able to work overtime and on-call coverage.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Performs related duties as requested.
- Participates in quality assurance activities and audits as directed.

- Ability to work independently and handle stress accordingly

- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to change in workload and schedule

- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Ability to assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
