PURPOSE
The purpose of this Position Description is to establish and define the authority, accountability, reporting relationships, responsibilities, duties, and measures of performance of the Laundry Associate position for BioMedical Recovery Systems.
BASIC AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
The primary function of the Laundry Associate position is to launder soiled linens used by health care providers. This includes, but is not limited to, sorting, spotting, laundering, drying, ironing, folding, sanitizing, and packaging to prepare them for redelivery to the company’s customers.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
To perform the duties of this position successfully, the Laundry Associate must be able to complete all tasks and fulfill all responsibilities for this position in a satisfactory manner while achieving all company goals and objectives as defined and communicated by the Production Supervisor. Following are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to meet the requirements of the position. EDUCATION
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- Required: This is an entry level position; no experience is required.
- Preferred: Any prior experience with a provider of commercial laundry services.
REPRESENTATIVE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to establish and maintain positive and cooperative work relationships with supervision and peers in an industrial setting.
- Must be able to work as part of a production team and coordinate their activities to assure that they are effective and productive at all times. Teamwork is essential.
- Must be highly reliable both regarding being at work consistently and being consistently on time.
- Must have a work ethic that is consistent with the company’s need for getting the work done correctly and on time. Laundry scheduled for processing each day must be completed before the production crew leaves for the day; therefore, some days may be less than a full 8 hour day and some days may require longer than an 8 hour day. Saturday work is often required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
