We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Operations Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in data collection, and supporting manufacturing operations. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesInventory Control
- Receive incoming materials and enter data into the ERP system.
- Enter manufacturing batch records into the ERP system accurately and timely.
- Support quarterly cycle counts by preparing count lists and assisting in physical counts.
- Generate reports for expired materials and re-order points.
- Assist with labor and overhead allocation within the accounting system.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze inventory data and trends to support operational decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, movements, and discrepancies.
- Assist in financial analysis related to inventory costs and turnover rates.
- Take an active role in managing the physical disposition of inventory on the production floor.
- Support the production assembly team as time permits.
Procurement
- Review purchase requisitions against historical usage and forecasted demand to determine order quantities.
- Create and place purchase orders with approved suppliers and follow up on confirmations and delivery timelines.
- Maintain Kanban board for open purchase orders and delivery schedules.
- Communicate regularly with vendors to monitor lead times and resolve delays.
- Maintain pricing history for materials and supplies to support cost tracking and planning.
Qualifications
- Experience in inventory management or a related field is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on data.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or inventory management software is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
