To perform general upkeep, maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment. Reports to the VP of Print.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work onsite across 3 buildings between 7:00 am- 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday, hours may vary with schedule
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician - Repair drywall, paint, repair doors and other building fixtures, replace filters, etc.
- Manage outside contractors and coordinate when on premises
- Work with equipment operators on routine and preventative maintenance. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs
- Plans repair work using building blueprints or equipment manual as needed
- Performs routine maintenance on building systems
- Assist with regulatory inspections, documentation, and attend EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) tours and meetings
- Assist with upkeep of the inside and outside of buildings including tool rooms, maintenance supplies, etc.
- Order supplies and materials as needed for repairs and maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees
- Experience and knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, construction, HVAC and/or other building systems required
- Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
- Willingness to learn how to replace parts and machine/equipment repairs
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Great time management, organization and prioritization abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
- Experience in diagnostic skills to solve problems
- Read/write English, basic math skills
