The Associate Merchandiser will work closely with the Sr. Merchandiser and Sales Director in planning and developing merchandising strategies for the Omnichannel Division. She/He will work as a liaison between sales, design, and sourcing teams to assist in managing department buys from conception to production. The Associate Merchandiser will analyze sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to determine product needs and assist in planning product placements. She/He is responsible to assist the Sr. Merchandiser with daily functions including time and action on projects, managing PLM system to be able to merchandise an assortment, and keeping up to date with industry trends. She/He leverages organizational & analytical skills, as well an eye for relevant trends, to support the team as needed. A passion for pop culture properties and products is a must!
- This position will report out of our Irving, TX location - we ask employees to work from the office a minimum of three (3) days a week, with the option to work from home the other two (2).
Responsibilities

- 3-5 years of assistant merchandising experience.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
- Proficiency in: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Qualifications
- Analyze sales data, comp shop retail stores and e commerce sites and be in the know of fashion and pop culture trends to help determine assortments by season, retail channel, and sales plans.
- Identify new product and/or licensed property opportunities based on search data and sales trends.
- Interact daily with Creative and Sales teams to assist in coordinating merchandising objectives for assigned categories to meet sales goals.
- Assist Sr. Merchandiser and Sales Director in establishing sales goals for assigned product categories.
- Work with brand management team to assist in assorting product opportunities for upcoming releases or new property rights.
- Assist in the other day to day duties in all areas as pertaining to specific categories assigned.
Education
- BA in Business or Merchandising or equivalent work experience
Business Hours
- The regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, and as needed to meet business goals and objectives. Flexible and able to work the hours needed to get the job done.
