Job Overview
We are a strong and well-respected community bank looking for a Controller. In this unique opportunity, you will be in a new state-of-the-art facility with a dedicated and highly professional team. This role has long-term growth potential. This is a full time onsite position located in Huntington Indiana. Minimal travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead up to six or more data entry, operations and accounting direct reports.
• Manage day-to-day back office community bank operational functions.
• Oversee bi-weekly payroll and benefit administration.
• Oversee accounts payable and account reconciliations.
• Monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and regulatory reporting as required.
• Prepare data for auditors and regulators, assist with audits and exams.
• Assist with other banking and/or accounting related projects and initiatives.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with GAAP and regulatory accounting.
• Comfortable with various forms of accounting and banking software.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an accounting or related field, CPA a definite plus.
• Minimum five years’ relevant experience required, preferably in banking or public accounting.

Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills and abilities will determine the pay range.
