Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to oversee the financial operations of our growing company. The Controller will play a crucial role in maintaining the company’s financial health, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and guiding strategic decision-making through financial insight. This position will manage all aspects of accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance, while also partnering with management to drive financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Manage and develop the accounting team, ensuring their alignment with company goals.
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare reports on company performance for senior management.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize cost control and financial planning.
- Oversee cash flow management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and support for company growth initiatives.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Evaluate financial systems and recommend upgrades to support business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5-7 years of accounting/financial management experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
