About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Resource Specialist Program (RSP) Teacher to join our client's team in the Santa Clarita, California area. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in special education and a commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs. This position involves providing specialized academic instruction and support to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with general education teachers, and fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Individualized Support : Develop and implement customized instructional plans based on student IEPs, focusing on their unique learning needs and goals.
- Collaboration : Work closely with general education teachers, counselors, and school administration to integrate support services and ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.
- IEP Development and Compliance : Actively participate in IEP meetings, collaborate on goal-setting, and ensure adherence to all legal and procedural requirements for special education.
- Data and Progress Monitoring : Assess student progress through regular evaluations, adapting instructional methods and materials as necessary to meet established goals.
- Behavioral Support : Implement and monitor behavior management plans, ensuring a positive, structured learning environment for all students.
- Parental Engagement : Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress, addressing concerns, and fostering strong school-family partnerships.
