What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Advisor - Operations Associate position at Birch Hill Investment Advisors LLC?
We are looking to hire a Wealth Management Operations Associate. The person will have two years or more experience at a Registered Investment Advisor, Trust Company, or Bank Investment Management Division. The ideal candidate should have worked in Wealth Management Operations. A plus if the candidate has Advent system experience which includes APX, Moxy, and Revenue Center.
This is not an investment research position. However, the position has exposure to many different areas of Birch Hill, including operations, research, trading, technology, project management, and client service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Trading responsibilities include equity & fixed-income trade execution, trade settlement, managing trade restrictions, and periodic review of brokers
- Shared responsibility to update and maintain our portfolio accounting and order management systems (Advent APX & Moxy). This includes custodial data download, setting up new accounts, posting transactions, corporate actions, reconciling positions, and security cost basis
- Operational tasks include security pricing, asset setup, issue resolution with custodians, date of death valuations, various month-end tasks, and addressing internal operational requests
- Facilitate Client & Internal Reporting which may include new and closed account reports, management reporting, and create client reporting packages
- Additional Operational Tasks may include:
*Proxy & Class Action Vendor Oversight
*Fee calculation and processing
*Performance updates and composite management
*CRM oversight
- Maintain and develop processes and procedures for assigned tasks
- Assist with technology initiatives and vendor oversight
- Assist with various projects and initiatives

Qualifications
- Two years or more of industry experience, preferably with an RIA
- Exemplary analytical and communication skills
- Familiarity with portfolio accounting and trading software
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel
- Bachelor’s degree
Salary : $65,000 - $90,000
