Production Supervisor - Night Shift
Department: Manufacturing
Reports To: Plant Manager
Positions Supervised: Machine Operators
Work Schedule: Night Shift, Monday - Friday (Additional hours as necessary)
Position Summary
The Production Supervisor ensures that production meets or exceeds efficiency and quality standards. This role is responsible for managing quality systems and documents to ensure compliance with company standards.
Essential Functions
- Plan daily workload based on customer needs, material availability, and personnel.
- Assign work orders and communicate daily plans to employees.
- Monitor production sequences and adjust to minimize downtime.
- Ensure completion of required paperwork and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate with the Scheduler to align production with customer requirements.
- Ensure production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Communicate process changes to the Engineering Department.

Skills & Experience
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with manufacturing software (e.g., SAP, Visual).
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate production machinery and train employees on best practices.
- Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 100 lbs occasionally), and working near moving mechanical parts.
Work Environment
- Exposure to a production floor with safety-sensitive operations.
- May include exposure to noise, airborne particles, and varying temperatures.
- Requires adherence to safety guidelines, including PPE when necessary.
