Posting Name : Project Engineer
Schedule : M – T, 6 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM and Friday, 6 : 00 AM – 10 : 00 AM
This position is located at our Elmwood, LA facility.
Join the Birdon team and help ensure USCG boats are safe and reliable!
Our Project Engineers are an integral piece of our work on a daily basis. Some of your daily functions will include :
- Conduct daily stand-up meetings with liaison engineers at remote sites to facilitate Engineering Change Request processing. Help remove barriers, escalate issues, and coordinate support as needed.
- Provide weekly status updates to project teams of resolved issues, outstanding issues, and associated risks.
- Record and review metrics monthly with management team and recommend improvements.
- Track reasons for engineering changes, analyze data for trends, and provide corrective actions.
- Approve deviation requests from production and ensure compliance to requirements.
- Create Engineering Change Proposals to be submitted to customers for design improvements, value added changes, and obsolescence resolutions.
- Document product configuration effectivity on drawings and assignment logs. Coordinate cut in dates with purchasing and production.
If you have at least 10 years’ experience of engineering, possess a High School Diploma or GED and fundamental knowledge in marine or manufacturing industry, we want to talk to you!
