Responsibilities
- Manage turnovers, work orders, renovations, inventory, groundskeeping, and preventative maintenance
- Complete high-skill maintenance work (plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC)
- Hire, supervise, and develop maintenance team members
- Plan, execute, and report on capital projects
- Set safety expectations for the team and adhere to company safety standards
- Monitor expenditures and adhere to budget
- Work as a team with property management and maintenance
- Source and coordinate external contractors, vendors, and suppliers as necessary
- Other duties as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate
Successful Candidate Profile
Work Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to work in confined spaces as well as ascend and descend ladders and staircases
- Deliver world-class customer service to every tenant despite gender, race, age, or sexual orientation
Skills & Qualifications
- 2 years experience supervising and managing maintenance teams
- 5 years experience in facilities maintenance (turnovers, work orders)
- Expertise in heating and plumbing
- In-depth understanding of building maintenance, apartment rehabs, and contractor coordination
