Maintenance Supervisor

Join our fast-growing team to improve lives through real estate! Birgo is a mission-driven company seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for seven multi-family properties (230 units) in Tonawanda, NY.

Responsibilities

• Manage turnovers, work orders, renovations, inventory, groundskeeping, and preventative maintenance


• Complete high-skill maintenance work (plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC)


• Hire, supervise, and develop maintenance team members


• Plan, execute, and report on capital projects


• Set safety expectations for the team and adhere to company safety standards


• Monitor expenditures and adhere to budget


• Work as a team with property management and maintenance


• Source and coordinate external contractors, vendors, and suppliers as necessary


• Other duties as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate

Work Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States 


• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance


• Must be able to work in confined spaces as well as ascend and descend ladders and staircases


• Deliver world-class customer service to every tenant despite gender, race, age, or sexual orientation

Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years experience supervising and managing maintenance teams


• 5 years experience in facilities maintenance (turnovers, work orders)


• Expertise in heating and plumbing


• In-depth understanding of building maintenance, apartment rehabs, and contractor coordination
