Maintenance Supervisor

Birgo is a mission-driven company seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for apartment buildings in Shaker Heights (Shaker Moreland Apartments and North Moreland Courts, 143 units) and Edgewater (Clifton Lakes Apartments, 52 units). Join our fast-growing team to improve lives through real estate!

Responsibilities

• Manage turnovers, work orders, inventory, groundskeeping, and preventative maintenance


• Complete high-skill maintenance work (plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC)


• Hire, supervise, and develop maintenance team members


• Plan, execute, and report on capital projects


• Set safety expectations for the team and adhere to company safety standards


• Monitor expenses and adhere to budget


• Source and coordinate external contractors, vendors, and suppliers as necessary


• Other duties as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate

• In-depth understanding of building systems and vendor coordination


• 3 years of supervisor experience


• 5 years of residential maintenance experience


• Strong relationship with city inspectors


• Experience managing multiple sites (preferred)


• Must be eligible to work in the United States 


• Active driver’s license and reliable vehicle


• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance


• Must be able to work in confined spaces as well as ascend and descend ladders and staircases
