JOB DESCRIPTION:
The IMS Systems Analyst will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of various technology systems within the organization, including but not limited to end-user device MDM solution, student information system, library automation system, student identity management system, and learning management system. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless operation of these systems to support educational and administrative functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core System Administration & Support:
Administer, configure, and optimize MDM solution to manage iOS and macOS devices across the organization.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for student information system.
Manage and maintain library automation system.
Support identify automation and single sign-on (SSO) systems for seamless user access across platforms.
Administer and optimize learning management system to enhance digital learning experiences for students and staff.
Manage other district systems as assigned and accept any other assignment as deemed necessary by immediate supervisor.
Technical Implementation & Maintenance:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features, updates, and enhancements for supported systems.
Ensure system compliance with security policies, data privacy regulations, and best practices.
Monitor system performance, proactively identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration settings, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
User Training & Support:
Provide end-user training and support to educators, administrative staff, and students to maximize the utilization of technology resources.
Develop user-friendly guides and FAQs to assist with common technical issues.
Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated support requests related to assigned systems.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
Work closely with IT leadership and educational stakeholders to align technology solutions with instructional and operational goals.
Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities and user experience.
Participate in technology planning and strategy meetings to support district-wide initiatives.
Acquire a minimum of 12 hours of professional development each year relevant to the position.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
Business Analysis:
Understanding business operations, identifying pain points, and translating business needs into system requirements.
Requirements Gathering:
Conducting interviews, workshops, and document analysis to collect detailed system requirements from users.
System Design:
Creating conceptual and technical designs for systems, including data models, user interfaces, and workflow diagrams.
Data Modeling:
Defining data structures and relationships within a system to ensure data integrity.
System Development Methodologies:
Familiarity with project management approaches like Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum.
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python), database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle), and network concepts.
Communication Skills:
Effectively communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
Participating in system testing to ensure quality and functionality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree and (3) years in computer science or technology preferred.
Experience in customer service, software support, software training, and technology.
Ability to work in a team environment to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to communicate technical information effectively to other departments.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
