Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee all aspects of operations at Bisalina Cannabis Dispensary. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership, regulatory compliance, inventory management, and strategic marketing, with the ability to foster a high-performing team culture. Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, train, and coach employees to create a motivated and customer-focused team.
Foster a positive work environment that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and performance.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and expectations.
Operational Excellence
Ensure smooth daily operations, including opening / closing procedures, staff scheduling, and customer service standards.
Maintain compliance with all state and local cannabis regulations, including METRC reporting, inventory tracking, and security protocols.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and ensure consistency across locations.
Regulatory Compliance
Stay up-to-date with cannabis laws and regulations in Illinois to ensure full compliance.
Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and handle inspections or audits.
Maintain proper licensing and ensure all employees adhere to compliance standards.
Inventory Management
Oversee inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and storage processes.
Manage product selection, ensuring a diverse and high-quality offering that meets customer demands.
Conduct regular audits to maintain accurate inventory records and prevent shrinkage.
Marketing & Business Growth
Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive traffic and sales, including promotions, events, and community outreach.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance Bisalina's brand presence and customer engagement.
Expansion Planning
Assist in planning and launching new dispensary locations, ensuring operational excellence from the outset.
Develop scalable systems and processes to support multi-location operations.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a General Manager or equivalent leadership role in the cannabis or retail industry.
Strong understanding of Illinois cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., METRC, Odoo) and POS systems.
Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business growth and innovation.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred.
