Job Description: As the Teleport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Network Operations Center for our client. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the repair and maintenance of all site facilities, including A/C systems, building structures, power runs, rack installations, and outside plant.
- Conducting preventive maintenance on all RF equipment and antennas.
- Assisting in the training of operations personnel on RF and facilities systems.
- Supervising 1st and 2nd level technical support, including monitoring alarms, opening trouble tickets, escalating and repairing issues, and setting shift coverage.
- Providing after-hours support for all operations activities.
- Maintaining inventory of all parts and equipment for the station, including antennas, RF/IFL equipment, splitters/combiners, adapters, racks, and cabling.
- Coordinating new customer installations and existing customer upgrades.
- Documenting all work performed.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Being reachable after hours for support issues.
Basic Requirements:
- Eight years of experience in operations and maintenance of communications satellite facilities and/or data centers with satellite communications connectivity.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a combination of military training in Satcom systems and relevant experience.
- High energy and hands-on approach to work.
- Experience in managing teams of operations personnel is a major plus.
