Patient Service Representative (s)
Location : Honolulu, HI (Various Locations)
Job Type : Temp-Hire, Full-time
Pay : $20 / hr
Schedule : Monday-Friday (Various shifts), some Saturdays
Position Summary :
Bishop & Company is seeking motivated and resilient Patient Service Representatives (PSRs) to join our team. Under supervision, PSRs will serve as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team by managing clerical and reception duties, assisting in administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth patient flow. Responsibilities include greeting and scheduling patients, managing patient records, verifying insurance information, processing payments, and maintaining files.
Key Responsibilities :
Greet and manage patient flow, ensuring high customer service standards
Register new patients, update records, and verify insurance and demographic info
Process authorizations and referrals as required
Handle payments, reconcile charges, and maintain accurate financial records
Prepare and maintain patient medical records, ensure timely communication with clinical staff
Answer phones, take messages, and assist with scheduling and patient inquiries
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills
1 year of clerical experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
Experience with EPIC (preferred)
Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
