Reports to: A.R.C. Learning Specialist

Position Summary:
The Educational Aide provides direct support to students with diverse learning needs within the Academic Resource Center. Under the direction of the Learning Specialist, the aide helps facilitate student engagement, and promote an inclusive learning environment. The goal is to foster student independence while ensuring all learners have access to the curriculum in a supportive and respectful manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist students with academic tasks, reinforcing lessons as directed and structured by the teacher.
Support students with executive functioning skills such as organization, task initiation, and focus.
Facilitate peer interactions and participation in group activities.
Monitor and document student progress, behaviors, and challenges.
Collaborate with teachers to ensure student academic success.
Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Able to support the worldview and mission of a diocesan Catholic High School.
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Experience working with students, particularly those with learning differences.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive education.
Ability to follow teacher instructions.
Flexibility to adapt to different student needs.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Must be able to work in a classroom setting and actively engage with students.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a school setting.
