Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Bishop Rehabilitation & Nursing Center seeks an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in Syracuse, New York.
Duties:
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Services to oversee management responsibilities and maintain high-quality care standards.
- Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds to ensure resident well-being.
- Ensure effective communication among all levels of nursing staff and promote compliance with regulations.
- Meet the medical needs of residents 24/7.
- Coordinate and direct the planning of nursing services.
- Stay current with general nursing theory and practice.
- Complete medical records accurately and on time.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff.
- Oversee daily staffing processes and implement infection control measures.
- Maintain flexibility to address unpredictable work demands.
Requirements:
- CURRENT NEW YORK RN LICENSE REQUIRED
- MINIMUM 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN LONG-TERM CARE SETTINGS
- PREFERRED: 2 YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE AND 1 YEAR OF STAFF EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
- EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE ESSENTIAL
- EVIDENCE OF BASIC LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED
- FLEXIBLE HOURS ARE A MUST
