Position Description & Details
Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging instruction on topics such as construction safety, estimating, project management, building diagrams, and construction contracts.
- Ensure students gain practical skills in construction planning, scheduling, and the use of industry-standard software and spreadsheets.
- Foster a classroom environment that emphasizes industry best practices, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Mentor students, providing guidance and support both in and out of the classroom.
- Maintain accurate records and submit grades by established deadlines.
- Participate in committee work, program outreach, and industry collaboration.
- Support the program's growth and development through collaboration with faculty, staff, and industry partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and Academic Dean.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate degree in construction management or equivalent and three years non-teaching work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Appropriate bachelor’s degree.
- Curriculum development, teaching, and/or training experience.
- Experience with hands-on teaching methods.
- Industry-related certifications
