Position Description & Details
As an Instructor of Practice, you will be responsible for supporting student learning and academic success by teaching foundational courses in Principles of Economics. Beyond the classroom, you'll provide mentorship, engage in meaningful committee work, and contribute to the ongoing development of the department. This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire students, collaborate with colleagues, and be part of a vibrant academic institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Principles of Economics: Lead engaging lectures and interactive classes to deliver core economic principles, fostering a deep understanding of macroeconomics and microeconomics.
- Student Mentoring: Guide and support students in their academic and professional development, providing timely feedback and mentorship.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and grades, ensuring compliance with academic standards.
- Committee Work: Contribute to departmental and campus-wide committees, helping to shape academic policies and initiatives that enhance the student experience.
- Commencement Participation: Actively participate in commencement and other academic ceremonies, celebrating the achievements of our students.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Dean and Academic Division Dean, contribution.
Minimum Requirements
- Appropriate master’s degree.
