SUMMARY OF POSITION
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work at Bismarck State College's Advanced Training Center (ATC) Digital Hive, with availability during daytime hours and evenings from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, for up to 12 hours per week.
- Provide support to BSC students enrolled in non-credit and for-credit 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing courses, assisting with the utilization of the Digital Hive 3D Printing Farm.
- Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive relationships.
- Promote and actively support student success through guidance and resource facilitation.
Position Description & Details
- Operate and maintain 3D printers.
- Help students prepare and set up files for printing.
- Monitor the printing process, troubleshooting any issues that arise during production.
- Conduct post-processing tasks such as cleaning print beds and adding filament.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs and material usage.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices.
- Supports innovation, creativity, and ideas to improve/enhance processes, etc. in the division and for the college.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSC Student; currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
- Familiarity with 3D Printing Machinery, 3D printing process, and general 3D printing operations.
- Some proficiency in graphic design software.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
