REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Directly responsible to the Title III Project Director and the Director of Career, Advising, & Counseling Services.
Position Description & Details
- Assist academic advisors in scheduling and conducting advising sessions with new students.
- Provide support in preparation for and during student registration events for new, returning, and transfer students.
- Provider information and guidance on course selection, degree requirements, and academic policies.
- Help new students understand and utilize college resources, such as tutoring services, libraries, and online platforms.
- Maintain accurate records of advising sessions and student interactions.
- Respond to student inquiries via email, phone, and in person.

Minimum Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a student at Bismarck State College
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0
- Familiarity with Campus Connection
- Previous experience in a customer service or advising role is preferred
