Overview
The Sales Account Specialist will support the Director, National Sales Accounts to drive strategic direction in revenue, strategy, and execution of sales initiatives to ensure the attainment of account plan volume and profit goals. Under the guidance of the Director, National Sales Accts., the Sales Account Specialist will learn and develop the necessary skills to grow within the sales organization. The SAS will have specific account responsibility that may include a major brick and mortar .com, along with the potential for 1-2 smaller retail accounts. Responsibility will also include key support for the DNSA lead account.

REQUIRED CORE COMPETENCIES:
The Sales Account Specialist will support the Director, National Sales Accounts to drive strategic direction in revenue, strategy, and execution of sales initiatives to ensure the attainment of account plan volume and profit goals. Under the guidance of the Director, National Sales Accts., the Sales Account Specialist will learn and develop the necessary skills to grow within the sales organization. The SAS will have specific account responsibility that may include a major brick and mortar .com, along with the potential for 1-2 smaller retail accounts. Responsibility will also include key support for the DNSA lead account.
Responsibilities
- The Sales Account Specialist will obtain the knowledge of a specified national account in order to properly communicate to Upper Management and Marketing on the progress towards the sales and profit goals of said national account.
- SAS will develop and maintain marketing relationships at the national account level. This person will develop marketing programs and promotions in a coordinated effort with the national account’s marketing team to drive Bissell’s sales and profit goals of said account. This person will have responsibility for creating promotions specific to digital while maintaining marketing fund budget objectives.
- The SAS will work directly with the national accounts digital team to develop and grow the national accounts digital business to a specified goal set by the Director, National Sales Accounts. This will include creating and maintaining a Bissell Brand Page, if agreed upon, on the national accounts website, creating and analyzing online only promotions and setup and maintenance of all products. This will also include P&L responsibility.
- The SAS will be responsible for the complete analysis of all digital campaigns for assigned accounts including but not limited to ROAS, CPM, cost per page view, etc. The SAS will then communicate this detail through reporting to the organization and will use this information to assess future events.
- The SAS will work closely with the Webcollage lead to ensure the set up and design of all product pages is complete and consistent with Bissell direction.
- The SAS will be responsible for managing and developing the business of a specified retail customer under the direction of the DNSA. The SAS will drive the strategic direction of said account by developing and implementing the necessary initiatives to achieve set sales and revenue goals.
- Will maintain ongoing communication with the DNSA and the organization as to sales and profit results through reporting responsibility including but not limited to Weekly Sales/GM Report, Top 50 Report, .com item sales reports, etc.
- The SAS will communicate cost and retail changes in the market place with the national accounts buying team. The SAS will manage all aspects of the cost and retail changes through the order process, as well as, the A/R system.
- Support effective communication of all retailer information throughout the organization including Marketing, Customer Service, Retail Account Coordinators and A/R Coordinators.
- SAS to participate in all line review meetings in order to obtain and develop the skills necessary to manage and support the DNSA.
- Process and track advertising claims through internal BISSELL BluePlanner system while maintaining records of corresponding credit memos. Clear outstanding claims in an efficient and appropriate manner.
- There will be the need from time to time to lift and ship product packages.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Degree minimum: Four year degree
- Experience level:
- o 3-5 Years of Working in a sales or marketing department within an Electronics, Appliance or CPG manufacturer.
- Four year degree
- 3-5 Years of Working in a sales or marketing department within an Electronics, Appliance or CPG manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of the National Accounts that BISSELL supplies.
- Knowledge of financial analytics is preferable.
