Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Architect who will be working closely with and assist the Director of Design & Construction, a Senior Architect, for a property management/development company in Marrero, Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Design & Construction in creating and organizing drawings for existing conditions and for proposed work for new construction, renovation, and maintenance and repair, for a large portfolio of commercial properties;
- Manage construction projects from design through construction, including making permit applications under your license;
- Organize and maintain property data files;
- Chair the Design Review Committee for a homeowner’s association;
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture
- Architect registered in Louisiana, with 3-5 years’ experience in construction documents and construction administration
- Expert in the setup and use of AutoCAD, working proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Xcel, Access, etc.)
- Ability to organize and self-direct work tasks and schedule
- Use of personal vehicle for travel to and from properties
- Demonstrated experience in project scheduling, contract management, and construction estimating
- Strong understanding of budgeting processes within architectural projects
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and team members alike.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
