Client is seeking a full-time, Spanish-speaking Associate Attorney to handle family-based, employment-based, and/or removal defense immigration cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research and writing skills, as well as experience in immigration law. Qualified applicants should be able to manage a high caseload efficiently, communicate effectively with clients in a professional, compassionate, and concise manner, and actively participate in firm activities aimed at business growth. Additionally, Zimmer Law Group values leadership and collaboration, so the Associate Attorney will be expected to contribute to firm development and staff mentorship.
Responsibilities:
Conduct consultations with potential clients to assess options and develop case strategies.
Manage cases from start to finish, including preparing filings, communicating with clients, and overseeing billing.
Represent clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Mentor and guide staff members in their understanding of cases and enhance their professional skill sets.
Supervise the progress of cases managed by case managers to ensure all tasks are being handled appropriately.
Attend marketing and networking events in the community, occasionally on weekends or evenings.
Contribute to the overall development and growth of the firm, participating in business-generating activities.
Requirements:
Bar Admission (any state, with preference for Minnesota).
Oral and written fluency in Spanish.
At least one year of experience handling removal defense work in immigration court.
Two to three years of experience in immigration law preferred.
Strong critical thinking, research, and writing skills.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Ability to manage a high caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Passion for working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
