Job Summary
The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software for various projects in the construction industry.
Required Skills/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-4 years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D in a civil design capacity.
- Proficiency with the latest version of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D, including experience in developing drawing sets and figures from base data (i.e. survey, GIS, point cloud, engineering sketches, etc.), and based on engineering input and guidance.
- Critical thinking and the ability to begin and progress designs.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and flexible to changes in work assignments as changes occur in project needs.
- Time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- 2 years of drafting/design experience at a consulting engineering firm or production design organization.
- Experience in other software including Autodesk Revit, ArcGIS, SketchUp, and Solidworks.
- Experience with BIM

Pay: $27.14 - $35.65 per hour
