Overview
We are seeking a full-time Interior Designer with at least 3 years of experience in high-end residential design to join our team. This role combines creativity with project management and offers the opportunity to lead projects from concept through installation. The Interior Designer will report to the Project Director and work closely with clients, contractors, and vendors to bring each vision to life.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and project management of assigned residential interior design projects
- Establish design direction and develop concepts, palettes, and floor plans
- Manage timelines, schedules, and team task assignments using Asana
- Communicate directly with clients, contractors, tradespeople, and vendors
- Attend client meetings and trade days; document progress and manage notes and materials
- Source merchandise consistent with AED’s aesthetic and obtain pricing and availability
- Use Studio Designer to enter product info, generate proposals, and manage merchandise
- Create compelling design presentations in PowerPoint and prepare materials for client reviews
- Lead and assist with installation days and photo shoots as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture (required)
- Minimum 3 years of professional interior design experience, preferably in luxury residential design
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and SketchUp (required); Studio Designer (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and client relationship skills
- Based in the DC Metro area or willing to relocate prior to starting
- Valid U.S. work authorization, driver's license, and access to a personal vehicle
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
