Medical Laboratory Assistant opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!!
Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates for a Medical Laboratory Assistant position. The Medical Laboratory Assistant performs a variety of laboratory duties including venipuncture and waived to moderately complex laboratory testing procedures. As appropriate based on state licensing rules and regulations.
Responsible for assisting with answering phones, processing samples and performing order entry duties. Collects any additional patient information needed and ensures that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Provides coverage for all shifts needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred:
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent and:
Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) education,
MLA experience
Current Tier II Certified Phlebotomist with experience
MLA Certification (or completed by date on offer letter)
Bachelor of Science degree
Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, additional languages preferred. Proficient computer skills.
Required:
Equivalent Laboratory Experience: One year experience as a Phlebotomist and/or diagnostic testing experience.
