Logistics Coordinator

Bituminous Roadways is looking for someone who is interested in the Asphalt Construction Industry and is eager to learn about our Trucking Division. BR is willing to train the right person. The right candidate will be excited about the work they do, and the key role they play in the satisfaction of our customers and the quality of our company.

Job Summary: The Logistic Coordinator will assist the Logistic Manager and plays a vital role in ensuring the success of daily operations with trucking. We are looking for someone that is detail-oriented, organized, flexible and familiar with the 7-county metro area. Must be available to work outside normal business hours.

Work Location:            Shakopee, MN / In-person, no remote option

Work Schedule:           Seasonal / Benefits are available and carry year-round.

Other Requirements: All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test.  References will also be checked. 

Job Duties & Requirements:

• Communicate timely and effectively with all field personnel and truck drivers.
• Daily communications with Brokers.
• Answer phone calls.
• Scale trucks.
• Ensure trucks are legally loaded.
• Schedule truck moves efficiently and with precision.
• Dispatch truck drivers and Brokers.
• Assist with signing trucks in and out.
• Monitor incoming loads of material.
• Must be efficient at texting via cell phones.
• Must have computer skills.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Understanding of truck routes.
• Ability to work through problem solving, work in a fluid environment.
