Finance Manager
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting policies and ensuring compliance across all departments. This role includes managing balance sheet accounts, performing reconciliations, and overseeing intermediary financial functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash Management: Monitor and reconcile cash accounts daily, provide cash flow forecasts, and manage positive pay systems.
- Accounts Receivable Oversight: Process and manage accounts receivable, collaborating with the Commercial team to resolve past due or delinquent accounts.
- Customer Product Returns: Supervise and manage the return process for customer products.
- Credit and Customer Terms: Evaluate new customer credit references and recommend appropriate terms.
- Fixed Assets and Lease Management: Maintain fixed asset records and lease schedules in compliance with IFRS 16 standards.
- Intercompany Balances: Manage intercompany balances and oversee other assigned accounts.
- Accruals and Amortizations: Process accruals and amortizations using support ledgers.
- Payroll Accounting: Oversee payroll accounting, including associated accruals and adjustments.
- Insurance and Payroll Deductions: Provide recommendations for insurance renewals and reconcile payroll deductions.
- Audit Participation: Lead and assist with audits, including Workers’ Compensation, 401(k), and annual financial audits.
- Tax Filings: Assist with the preparation and submission of annual tax filings.
- Financial Reporting: Develop and manage the monthly reporting package.
- Budget Support: Assist with the annual budget process as needed.
- Internal Controls: Maintain financial security by establishing and adhering to strong internal controls.
- Policy Development: Define and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Operational Guidance: Provide guidance to other departments by interpreting accounting policies and applying solutions to operational challenges.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Results and profit-oriented mindset, with the ability to balance business considerations and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and IFRS 16 standards.
- Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of throughput accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Solid business acumen and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Completion of INL Leadership Course preferred.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
