YOUR PURPOSE
This position is primarily responsible for the management of Accounting policy and ensures cross-functional departments are following in accordance. In addition, the position is the lead regarding maintenance, and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts and the intermediary functions associated.
Position Responsibilities:
- Actively manage and reconcile cash accounts daily, provide cash forecasting based on projections and administer positive pay.
- Oversee and process Accounts Receivables and works with Commercial team to resolve any delinquent or past due accounts.
- Oversees and manages customer product returns.
- Process new customer credit references and provide recommendations on new customer terms.
- Manage Fixed Assets and Lease accounts and schedules in compliance with IFRS16.
- Manage Intercompany balances and other assigned accounts.
- Manage and process accruals and amortizations based on support ledgers.
- Responsible for payroll accounting and associated accruals and adjustments.
- Provides recommendations for insurance renewals and reconcile payroll deductions.
- Participates in and leads, when necessary, audits such as WC, 401K, and the annual financial audits.
- Assist with annual tax filings
- Builds monthly reporting package
- Assists with annual budget as needed
- Maintains financial security by establishing and adhering to robust internal controls.
- Maintains accounting controls by establishing and defining accounting policies and procedures as necessary.
- Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
Education:
- BS Degree or Equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance preferably in a manufacturing setting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be result and profit oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations and perform multifaceted projects.
- Exceptional problem analysis and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS 16.
- Must be highly motivated and have the ability to function independently and multi-task.
- Understanding of throughput accounting.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong business acumen.
- Proficiency of computer skills to include; MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint and MS Outlook.
