What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Engagement Coordinator position at Bixby Community Outreach Center?
Company Description
The Bixby Outreach Center is a commuity resource center and food pantry that provides local families in need with a monthly distribution of perishable and non-perishable foods, toiletries, baby care items, and more. The food pantry is also part of the USDA food program. Our pantry is a guest choice-model which allows pantry guests to select culturally appropriate foods, meet individual health and dietary needs and select foods that are familiar and enjoyed just as they would in a grocery store. Guests are allowed to shop for food every 30 days. We also provide home delivery services to our homebound guests. During the summer and over holiday breaks, we provide "Break Bags" for families to make sure children who normally receive free or reduced meals and snacks through the school year don’t go without food during school breaks.
