Roles and Responsibilities
As a part of the IT Team, the IT Dispatcher’s roles will include:
- Dispatch
- Receive in packages
- Labeling and inventory of received packages
- Organizing/managing client and internal inventory area
- Track hardware once it leaves inventory area to client site
- Create shipping labels and ensure shipments are sent out
- Assigning tickets and scheduling engineers
- Answering and routing calls
- Manage service ticket board
- Create tickets
- Review and close tickets
- Manage tickets as they need Dispatch attention
- Manage Engineers overall workload and productivity
- Procurement/inventory management
- Company vehicles
- Taking for routine oil change and routine maintenance
- Documentation of mileage
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic computer and operating system knowledge.
- Interpersonal skills: such as telephone skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment.
- Punctuality and ability to be in office.
- Extremely detail orientated.
- Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
- Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.
