Janitorial Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform industrial cleaning duties in commercial settings.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through regular sweeping, mopping, and buffing.
• Conduct custodial tasks including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs.
• Ensure restrooms are stocked and cleaned regularly to meet hygiene standards.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the facility.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain high standards of cleanliness in all areas.
• Perform porter duties as required, including moving furniture or equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in industrial cleaning or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is a plus.
• Ability to perform custodial tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and move items throughout the shift.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
