Center Supervisor Preschool - Jefferson

Full-Time Position
Pay Range $35.32 - $39.74 per hour
The starting pay for this position is the beginning of the pay range.
DEFINITION: Responsible for the on-site administration and supervision of the California State Preschool Program. Work in the preschool/toddler classroom as a teacher, interacting with and supervising up to 24 small children daily. Works in accordance with licensing regulations for health and safety (Title 22) and rules and regulations (Title 5) for State funded agencies. Abides by agreement with host school districts and the policies and procedures as established by the Management Team and the Board of Directors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: AA or 60 units with 24 ECE units plus 6 Administration and 2 Adult Supervision units, or
BA or BS degree or higher with 12 ECE units plus 3 units of supervised field experience in an ECE setting and 3 units of Administration.
Credential: Must be in possession of a Child Development Permit at the Site Supervisor or Program Director level issued by California Teacher Credentialing.
Experience: One-year experience as a teacher in a licensed child development program, with supervisory experience (excluding family child care homes experience).
Certification: Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid; Health and Safety in a child care setting.
Criminal Clearance: Fingerprinting is required for this position. The record for Background clearance is checked by the FBI, DOJ, and Child Abuse Index.
Medical Clearance: A pre-employment physical, current TB Clearance (less than a year old), current measles and pertussis vaccinations are required for this position.
Other Requirements: Personal transportation with a valid CA driver’s license, a Clean Motor Vehicle Record, current vehicle registration, and car insurance. Or a reliable, alternative method of transportation in order to meet travel requirements for off-site job duties. Must be authorized to work in the US.
