Sewer and Water Pipe Layer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer and equipment operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and repair of piping systems, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, as well as the ability to operate various machinery and tools effectively. The Pipelayer will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications.

Duties

• Install and repair underground piping systems for water, and sewage.
• Use utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation.
• Operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, Skid Steers Excavators, and front loader trucks safely and efficiently.
• Conduct concrete forming and finishing tasks as required for pipe installations.
• Ensure all pipes are plumb and properly aligned according to project specifications.
• Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks, maintaining clear communication throughout the project.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience in pipelaying or related construction fields is necessary.
• Familiarity with concrete finishing techniques is a plus.
• Experience operating forklifts and heavy machinery is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of oil and gas pipeline installation processes is beneficial.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
