What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Layer Helper position at Craftsmen Contractors, LLC?
Craftsmen Contractors is seeking experienced Skilled Laborers/Pipe Layer Helpers for the New Orleans, La. area. This is for ongoing commercial construction projects. Needing workers who have experience working at construction job sites.
These are temp to permanent positions.
Pay is $14/hr.
Job duties include the following:
- Responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
- Ensures ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipes.
- Aligns pipes and seals joints together with cement or glue.
- Move materials around the job site.
- Job site clean-up.
Requirements:
- Should have at least 1 year of experience working as a construction Laborer.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Will need to have all PPE (rubber boots if you have already have them - if not steel toe boots will do) and reliable transportation.
