Additional Information About the Role

Full Time - 36 hours a week 

Benefit Eligible 

Schedule is as the following - Wednesday 7p to 7a, Saturday and Sunday 6:30a to 7p (same schedule every week)

No on call 

Holiday rotation - 1 per year

Candidate needs to be able to mutlitask and communicate clearly with patients and other staff

Having prior experience in working in a medical field or hospital is a plus!

This role is working within the trauma unit so being comfortable around severe medical emergencies is a must.

Role Purpose

Performs clerical, secretarial and customer service functions within assigned patient care area.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all human resources functions for unit. Ensure nursing staff has all the proper paperwork required.
  • Works with management to ensure appropriate staffing levels on all areas. Staffs any pod, providing breaks and lunches when necessary.
  • Coordinates all surgical scheduling activities. Directs and monitors the flow of patients and maintain the scheduling of those patients.
  • Coordinates, maintains and orders inventory and supplies.
  • Provides clerical support for department as necessary.
