This position is responsible for interviewing and training all volunteers. Responsible for the Pet Therapry program as well as other volunteer related duties.
- 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Overview

The Volunteer Services department's objective is to provide compassionate care and assistance to the patients, families, visitors and staff in order to enhance the experience of everyone who walks through the doors of Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Volunteer Services is responsible for determining the needs of each department, filling those needs while providing a challenging and meaningful experience for those who donate their time here. Volunteers are screened, interviewed, oriented and trained to follow Barnes-Jewish, BJC and Joint Commission regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Coordinate all activities of the HSO Volunteer Office including volunteer assignments and scheduling, new volunteer on-boarding and training and issue resolution. Also responsible for maintaining accurate files on all volunteers and auxilians to meet regulatory compliance guidelines. May track and coordinate bereavement services for HomeCare Services.
