Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing various HR functions and supporting our workforce. This position requires a strong understanding of human capital management and the ability to handle multiple HR tasks efficiently. You will be responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up.
- Utilize HRIS systems such as Paylocity for talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee data management.
- Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Support talent management initiatives by assisting in the development of training programs and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with management on workforce management strategies to optimize staffing levels and employee engagement.
- Handle contract negotiations and maintain accurate records of employment agreements.
- Assist in the implementation of human resources policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- Provide guidance to employees regarding HR-related inquiries, benefits, and company policies.
- Participate in recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role within an industrial environment.
- SHRM-CP is preferred.
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems such as Paylocity is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of talent acquisition processes and workforce management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
