**Position Summary:**
The Director of Programs and Membership will play a critical role in leading and expanding BCDI-Wisconsin’s programs and member engagement. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating programs, and fostering relationships with members, volunteers, and partners. The ideal candidate is an experienced nonprofit professional with strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, passionate about empowering Black children and families.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Program Leadership:
- Supervise staff and volunteers involved in the Healthy Start community consortium and other organizational programs.
- Coordinate and oversee the Read2Succeed program, ensuring its successful implementation and growth.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to design and implement new programs that align with organizational goals and community needs.
- Monitor program effectiveness and outcomes, providing regular reports to the Executive Director and stakeholders.
Membership Engagement:
- Develop and execute strategies to increase BCDI-Wisconsin membership, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Lead efforts to engage members in organizational events, programs, and advocacy initiatives.
- Maintain accurate membership records and oversee membership communications.
Volunteer Coordination:
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support organizational programs and events.
- Create and maintain a positive and engaging volunteer experience.
Partnership Engagement:
- Support the Executive Director in cultivating and maintaining partnerships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders.
- Represent BCDI-Wisconsin at community events and meetings to enhance visibility and build strategic alliances.
Operations and Administration:
- Develop and manage program budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Assist in grant writing and reporting as it relates to programmatic funding.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and procedures related to program and membership activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, social work, education, public health, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit program management, membership engagement, or a related role.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop staff and volunteers.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building relationships and engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with budgeting and program evaluation.
- Familiarity with issues impacting Black children and families and a commitment to advancing equity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and membership or CRM databases.

**Salary and Benefits:**
