Job Summary:
The Banquet Supervisor - Culinary at Black Desert Resort is responsible for supervising the preparation and execution of all banquet culinary operations. Reporting to the Banquet Chef, this position ensures high-quality food production, maintains kitchen efficiency, and supports a seamless event experience. The Banquet Supervisor - Culinary helps supervise a team of cooks and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food presentation and service for banquets and special events.

Responsibilities
- Oversee food preparation and execution for all banquet events, ensuring consistency and high-quality presentation.
- Supervise and train banquet culinary staff, fostering a positive and productive kitchen environment.
- Ensure timely production of banquet meals while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Banquet Chef to develop and refine banquet menus, ensuring innovative and high-quality offerings.
- Monitor kitchen workflow, managing staff assignments and optimizing service speed.
- Maintain inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate food orders to ensure kitchen readiness for events.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, following food safety protocols.
- Work closely with front-of-house banquet staff to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and service teams.
- Oversee plating and buffet presentation to uphold resort standards and guest expectations.
- Assist with scheduling, labor cost management, and team performance evaluations.
- Support large-scale and VIP events by ensuring flawless food execution and service.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience in banquets, catering, or large-scale event production, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of banquet food preparation techniques, large-scale cooking, and plating.
- Leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in kitchen equipment, inventory management, and culinary best practices.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred but not required.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for banquet and event schedules.
