Description
Black Diamond Equipment Ltd. is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to assist in receiving, inspecting, and processing inbound warranty returns, receiving and distributing incoming and outgoing packages, letters, and other mail and package related items. Specifically, this position is :
- Responsible for performing all required steps for outgoing packages/ letters, inventory distribution, and expediting, storage functions as directed by Supervisor.
- Authorized and responsible for operating company vehicles to distribute, and pick up materials, packages/ letters or product as directed by Supervisor.
- Responsible for maintaining adequate levels of daily supplies (i.e. tape, boxes, banding material, propane, label stock, pens, etc.) and to advise Supervisor of required supplies in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly workplace, including company vehicles.
- Responsible to learn and assist with any task necessary to help the department and BDEL meet objectives for on-time, quality, and cost-efficient delivery of products, materials and packages/ letters.
- Responsible for required maintenance checks/ logs on all company equipment and reporting any needed repairs as directed by Supervisor.
- Build a foundational knowledge base of all products across the Black Diamond platform.
- Assisting with responding to and closing claims as necessary when items are received or shipped out
- Assisting with walk-in customer inquiries regarding BD product repairs under the direction of the Supervisor.
- Follow all ISO guidelines in accordance with BD Quality procedures.
- Represent BD professionally as a public liaison to customers
Requirements
This position requires basic math and written communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines. The position also requires a demonstrated ability to resolve customer service complaints (internal and external) and provide a positive service experience.
Must be able to obtain Forklift certification within 60 days of hire, and have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
