Job Description:
Black Earth is currently seeking applicants for a part time position picking plastics and other non-compostables at our Wareham site.
This position is fully outdoors, although we do not work in rainy weather conditions.
As a picker, you will be removing plastic from our fully finished compost before it is screened and sent out to garden centers, schools, and farms all over New England. We provide you the necessary gear and safety equipment as well as safety training.
This job does involve working on the ground around active heavy machinery so we take safety very seriously. Awareness of your surroundings and the ability to communicate and coordinate with machine operators is required.
We offer a very flexible schedule, and accrued sick and vacation time.
Shifts are available Monday through Friday, 8AM - 3PM.
This position will require a pre-employment background check.
Compensation:
$20.00/HR and a $5.00 per bag bonus for every 20 gallon bag filled.
