Member Sales & Services Director/Outside Sales Representative
*Job pay based on experience/base pay plus commission
Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Member Sales & Services Director to join our team. This role is pivotal in selling a variety of memberships, marketing products and opportunities to tourism businesses throughout the Black Hills & Badlands region. You will be responsible for membership sales, product sales, member services, internal operations, and other related duties.

Key Responsibilities:
Membership Sales and Retention:
· Drive the growth of BH&B memberships by identifying and targeting prospective communities and tourism related businesses.
· Conduct presentations and sales calls to encourage membership sign-ups and renewals.
· Maintain and update membership data and assist with the preparation of sales materials.
Marketing and Product Sales:
· Promote and sell a variety of BH&B marketing products and services to new and existing clients.
· Coordinate the collection of advertising materials and manage data entry related to sales activities.
· Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing and sales materials.
Member Services and Support:
· Ensure all members receive their benefits and high-quality representation.
· Address member inquiries and resolve issues to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
· Support members by distributing BH&B publications and conducting routine check-ins.
Internal Operations and Collaboration:
· Stay informed about BH&B promotions and products, and assist in implementing marketing plans.
· Develop and monitor annual sales plans to meet or exceed goals.
· Foster strong internal and external relationships that align with BH&B's core values.
Event Participation and Special Projects:
· Represent BH&B at conferences, travel shows, and regional events.
· Participate in special projects and committees as needed to support organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· In-depth knowledge of the Black Hills and tourism industry.
· Familiarity with BH&B products.
· Strong communication, active listening, and rapport-building skills.
· Excellent time-management and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficiency in cold calling, objection handling, and delivering presentations.
· High emotional intelligence and customer service expertise.
Personal Characteristics:
· Professional and friendly demeanor with a focus on customer service.
· Courteous, self-controlled, cooperative, and organized.
· Detail-oriented and relatable, with patience and adaptability.
· Empathetic, enthusiastic, courageous, and confident.
· Proactive and able to work well with others.
Office Hours:
· BH&B office hours are 8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday. Schedule flexibility is required, including occasional nights/weekends and travel to conferences and trainings.
Supervision:
· Reports directly to the VP of Sales.
· Physical Requirements: Moderate physical activity, including the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Compensation:
Base Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience Commission: Performance-based commission structure.
